My name is Ed Sloane and I recently retired from practicing law in a number of locations in Manitoba. For over fifteen years I was a prosecutor with Manitoba Justice at a number of locations in rural Manitoba. In addition to my time as a prosecutor I was in private practice in Swan River, Morden and Winnipeg. I have decided to venture out into running a driving service. Prior to attending University I was an RCMP officer in Saskatchewan and later attended University in Winnipeg. I drove a Brink’s truck for one summer and a Greyhound bus out of Thunder Bay for three summers. For the last fifteen plus years I regularly commuted over 240 km a day to and from my work site in Morden from my home in Portage la Prairie and Winnipeg. I love driving especially on the open highways and I have a clear driving record. Needless to say I have driven in all types of driving conditions over the years.
My wife and I currently live in South St. Vital. We have two adult sons and five grandchildren.
I grew up on a farm in the Clearwater district of Manitoba and spent many years in my youth playing baseball and hockey. Throughout my adult life I have been involved in coaching sports as well as playing old timers hockey and curling. I was also an active Lions Club member for over thirty years in four communities where we lived.
I look forward to being of service to you.
